Moto Me Case Study

Building the foundational brand ecosystem for ‘Canada's First Peer-to-Peer Motorcycle Rental Community’

Some founders arrive knowing exactly what they need. These co-founders arrived knowing openly who they were—and that turned out to be far more valuable.

When Des and Todd reached out to me, they needed business cards and a postcard. Our discovery conversation went deep and revealed something much larger. As passionate international travellers, owners, and riders themselves, they had quietly identified an unfilled gap in the Canadian market. They weren't theorizing about their customer—they are their customer, and have been for years.

That first call was an honest conversation about what was actually at stake: the existing brand simply couldn't hold their story, and would have undersold everything they were building. Trusting their instincts, they decided to go all in.

Before making a single visual decision, we went deep into their structural foundation—uncovering who Moto Me really is, what it stands for, and how it needed to show up in a marketplace where trust is the primary currency.

The result was a complete brand architecture built around a carefully resolved archetype: the Pragmatic Explorer. It captures something genuinely rare: a platform that feels like freedom but operates like a professional system.

This framework resolves a tension most adventure brands fail to navigate. Pure explorer energy feels uncontrolled; pure pragmatic energy feels transactional. Balancing pioneering spirit with calm grounded resilience gave Moto Me an ownable position: brave enough to be adventurous, precise enough to operate with absolute integrity.

Pure Adventure. Proven Integrity. Genuine Community.
— We authored a foundational tagline that immediately resolved their marketplace position, balancing raw explorer energy with absolute structural trust.

That positioning immediately set everything into motion: the brand persona, the messaging pillars, a four-part value architecture, and ultimately a screen-first visual identity system—optimized for the digital platform environment their tech team was simultaneously developing.

The project equipped them with a complete foundational system: core strategy, identity, guidelines, and collateral—everything their team needs to move forward without ambiguity.

From a tentative request for a business card to a brand infrastructure built for our forward-thinking explorers: empowered, confident, transformed.
